Movement Repatterning

My most functional offering, repatterning uses nine principals of efficient movement, articulated by Irmgard Bartenieff, and muscle-sensing techniques from Bodymind Centering (r), of which I am a current student, to bring deeply habitual movements and postures out of their rut to find more enjoyment and ease. Movement Repatterning is also the source of the clever title of this whole project. We can mock up certain scenarios where your problematic movement occurs and use hands-on cueing to find new pathways to achieve this movement. This work is deeply tied to developmental movement and I often use these more primal, elementary movements to organically support the adult movement that you want to repattern. These two approaches are interconnected, however repatterning can be done without the involvement of Developmental, if you are not interested in trying that.
