Authentic Movement

A meditative movement practice of awakening an inner witness. Authentic Movement is deeply intertwined with reparenting due to its dedication to unconditional acceptance. The practice is very simple, however challenging, in that there will be far less instruction from me than in other modalities. You will be given a non-judgemental frame of space and time to move in however you desire, with eyes closed. I will witness your movement and offer some kind of reflection of it, without any analysis or evaluation. Over time, your own ability to non-judgmentally self-witness may grow as being witnessed is normalized. In the gaze of your own inner loving parent, your movement child may explore and learn freely according to their own idiosyncratic brilliance. This is a beautiful practice to try, especially if your inner child was accustomed to neglect or scrutiny.
